Professional Mentor:
Mrs. Baker I had a great year with Mrs. Baker. She was open to letting me come into her classroom and allow me to interact with her students. She allowed me to be a part of different experiences within her classroom. For example, I was able to sit in on parent-teacher conferences as well as be a part of students assessments. Overall, what I learned from my time with Mrs. Baker was that it is always important to remember the needs of the students. The students always come first and are the central focus for my future as an educator. |
Faculty Mentor:
Mrs. Bassingthwaite Mrs. Bassingthwaite's love for Early Childhood Education and higher education is truly inspiring. Being in her classroom as a Sophomore made me realize that I want to encourage my students to have a love for learning like Mrs. Bassinghtwaite did with me. She has truly inspired me to love learning. I was very lucky to have her as a mentor this past year. I enjoyed our time we spent talking in her office, along with the great opportunity she gave me to spend some time volunteering at Grimrud Elementary School. |
